Scope/Topic
Nature-inspired computing and metaheuristics form a substantial amount of activities in computational intelligence, data-mining, business intelligence, information technology and their applications. This research workshop, while celebrating the Silver Jubilee of INNS, intends to provide a platform along with ICDIM 2012 for researchers to review and discuss the latest development in the following areas (but not limited):
• Computational Intelligence and Applications
- Artificial neural networks
- Business intelligence and optimization
- Data mining
- Intelligent information technology
- Real-world applications
• Algorithms and metaheuristics
- Ant colony optimization
- Artificial immune systems
- Bee algorithms
- Cuckoo search
- Differential evolution
- Genetic algorithms
- Genetic programming
- Firefly algorithm
- Harmony search
- Particle swarm optimization
- Simulated annealing
- Tabu search
- and others
Submissions should provide original and unpublished research results or on-going research in process. Papers by postgraduate students are encouraged too. The papers should be between 6 to 8 pages total in length in the IEEE format. Papers accepted and presented at the workshop will be published in the IEEE ICDIM 2012 Proceedings.
