BI-International, the standing committee at the German National Association of Library and Information Associations Bibliothek & Information Deutschland (BID), provides financial support for congress attendances in Germany with German government funding.

The grants are dedicated to library professionals and information/documentation centre staff, who are actively integrated into the library systems of their home countries. The deadline for applications connected to the visit of ICDIM is August 12th 2018. All applications need to be submitted via the online form on the BI-International website (http://www.bi-international.de/english/application_forms/international_conferences_in_germany/).

The grant is based on a per diem rate of 80 € for the duration of the event in Germany and is calculated at the lowest registration fee. Funding is granted on an individual basis and is paid cash at the conference venue.

The grant does not include travel costs. Grant recipients are obliged to prepare a comprehensive written report on their conference attendance.

BII will confirm by e-mail the receipt of the application. The decision and notification will be sent by e-mail upon assessment by the BII committee.
