Title: The Research Landscape of User-generated Digital Information: Challenges and Possibilities

 Abstract
With the advent of social media, users have been transformed from being passive recipients to active producers of digital information. The resultant body of user-generated content which ranges from text and images to video, has spawn multiple lines of research inquiry. In this talk, three dominant themes, namely, sense-making, diffusion and user-information interaction will be highlighted. Along with tracing the research trajectory of each theme, I will identify the theoretical, methodological and practical challenges and shed light on the possibilities that lie ahead.

Title: Innovation in All Steps of Product Development

Overview:

Product development is a lot more than having an idea. Many stages are needed and all offer innovation opportunities. There is a lot of focus on the creativity of the product concept and agreed that is critical. However, the opportunity for success lies in being innovative during the span from concept to product shipment to the end customer.

TEMS also looks at aspects with both the technology and management skills needed to “make it happen”. This presentation examines the overall problem of getting product from idea to market together with some case studies with different areas.
